This August, the Mobihunter team travelled to Cologne for Gamescom 2026, and the experience was absolutely worth the trip.
For several busy days, Gamescom brought together game developers, publishers, marketers, and growth teams from all over the world. It gave us a chance to meet people we had previously only spoken to online, reconnect with industry partners, and have many honest conversations about what is happening in mobile marketing right now.

For us, Gamescom was not just about attending another major industry event. It was about talking directly to the people behind mobile games and apps and learning more about the challenges they are currently facing.
Many of our conversations focused on familiar but increasingly complex questions:
These discussions reflected what we see in our everyday work. Successful mobile growth rarely comes from one isolated activity. It requires the right combination of performance, creative thinking, data, and constant testing.

At Mobihunter, we help apps and games grow through several interconnected services.
Our User Acquisition team plans, launches, and optimizes performance campaigns across trusted advertising platforms, focusing not only on install volume but also on the quality of acquired users.
Through Influencer Marketing, we connect mobile products with relevant creators and build campaigns designed to generate awareness, engagement, and measurable results.
Our Creative Production team develops and tests platform-native ads for different audiences, formats, and acquisition channels.
We also provide ASO services to improve app visibility, strengthen store-page conversion, and support both organic and paid acquisition.

One topic came up particularly often during our Gamescom meetings: playable ads.
As audiences become less responsive to passive advertising, brands need formats that let users interact with a product before deciding to install it. A good playable gives people a quick and intuitive preview of a game or app, making the ad itself part of the product experience.
This is why Mobihunter is expanding its creative capabilities and introducing playable ads as an additional service. Our team can help brands develop, launch, and test playable concepts as part of a broader creative and user acquisition strategy.
You can learn more about the format in our article: Playable Ads: From Passive Advertising to Interactive Experience.
Gamescom 2026 gave us new connections, potential collaborations, and plenty of ideas to bring back to our projects.
Thank you to everyone who met with us in Cologne, stopped by for a conversation, or shared their experience with our team. We came home inspired and ready to turn those conversations into new growth opportunities.
If we missed each other at Gamescom, let’s connect now. Contact the Mobihunter team to discuss how we can help your app or game grow.
